Prof. Izharul Haq completed his PhD from the University of Cambridge, UK in 1991 in the area of Computational Modeling and Simulation. With over 21 years of teaching, research and administrative experience at various universities in the UK, UAE, Canada, China, Kuwait and Pakistan. He has held several senior administrative positions including president, chairman and deanship. Prof. Haq has extensive experience in the accreditation process. Currently, he is the Director of Research at the American University in the Emirates. During the past 2 years he has established 4 Centers of Excellence to facilitate and nurture the ethos of research and innovation at AUE. He has taught at graduate, postgraduate and has supervised more than 10 PhDs in the general areas of Information Technology, Management Information System, E-Commerce, Mathematics, Decision support systems. He is the founder of a non-profit organization called OneCoin with the goal of eliminating poverty through education and emerging technologies. A dedicated, focused, pragmatic and a well organized individual with excellent communication skills.
