This half-day workshop is designed for HE leaders committed to aligning teaching and learning practices with institutional imperatives and the overarching mission of the university. Focusing on the theme of academic agility within engaged universities, the workshop will explore emerging trends in teaching and learning, emphasizing the need for transformative practices to ensure continuous relevance. Participants will delve into the development of teaching and learning strategies, teaching effectiveness frameworks, and the critical role of having clear organizational and governance structures. The session will address key imperatives for success in teaching and learning centers, fostering an environment where adaptability and responsiveness are integral to the educational mission.

Examine the latest trends in teaching and learning, identifying how they reshape pedagogy and impact the overall higher education ecosystem.

  • Highlight the imperative for universities to transform and adopt agile practices in teaching and learning; this includes special emphasis on the need to adapt to remain responsive to industry needs and relevant in the face of evolving educational landscapes.
  • Develop effective Teaching and Learning Institutional Strategies that are aligned with institutional mission statement and strategic goals, along with effective frameworks for evaluating teaching effectiveness.
  • Discuss various models and  organizational structures and governance mechanisms
    necessary to support teaching and learning initiatives and contribute to fostering an
    engaged university environment.
