Prof. Sami El Khatib

Professor Sami El Khatib is an internationally recognized Academic Leader, Researcher, and Higher Education Strategist with more than two decades of impact in academic governance, accreditation, curriculum development, and scientific research. He holds a PhD in Cell Biology and Oncology from Henri Poincaré University, France, complemented by a Master’s degree in Bioengineering and Biomaterials, a University Diploma in Animal Experimentation, and a Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Sciences from the Lebanese University.

Professor El Khatib serves as Assistant Dean at the Lebanese International University with extensive leadership roles in accreditation alignment, and institutional academic reform. His research portfolio includes over 130 peer-reviewed publications, books, and book chapters across oncology, immunology, biotechnology, drug development, pharmacy education, and food innovation. His distinctions include the Forttuna Global Excellence Award as Higher Education Leader of the Year 2025, recognition among the Forttuna Global 100, Arab Icons Platform, GUST Senior Research Fellowship, service on the GULF Higher Education Standards Council and MENA Medical Research Network.
