Rawan Yasmin is the Head of Higher Education Portfolio at the Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation, where she leads the Innovation in Higher Education pillar, driving system-level transformation across universities in the UAE. Her work focuses on strengthening institutional capacity to improve the quality, accessibility, and labour-market relevance of higher education through long-term, sustainable partnerships.
As a founding member of the Foundation’s core team, Rawan has played a pivotal role in shaping AGF’s programmatic portfolio over the past decade, leading and scaling initiatives across scholarships, institutional partnerships, and emergency education responses throughout the region.
Prior to joining AGF, she worked with international non-profit organizations and UN agencies, addressing education and health challenges in Lebanon and neighbouring countries. Rawan holds a Master’s degree from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree from the American University of Beirut (AUB).
