Dr. Imad Hoballah is the Provost and Chief Academic Officer of the American University in Dubai (AUD). He joined AUD with extensive public, private and academic experience in the US and Lebanon. He has extensive public services experience as Chairman/CEO of Lebanon\’s TRA, and strong advisory experience in knowledge management, cyber security and corporate strategy.
Dr. Hoballah held several executive positions in the US and the Middle East and Africa including COO & EVP, “Lucent Technologies” and Senior Manager, “AT&T Bell Labs”, and CEO, “Omnix Media Networks”.
He served on National and Regional Committees on Security, Cyber Security and Safety, chaired the “Arab Regulators Network for ICT”, represented the government to the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), and chaired several ITU committees. He served as Vice Chairman of the “Arab Spectrum Management Group”, the “Government Advisory Committee” of the Internet Corporation for Names and Numbers (ICANN) and the “Arab Management Advisory Group” of the “Internet Governance Forum\”.
Dr. Hoballah has a PhD & MS in Electrical Engineering (Communications) from Syracuse University, an MBA from Columbia University, a BS in Chemistry and a General Management Diploma.
