Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman Alsughayir

Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Alsughayir is a prominent academic leader in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with over two decades of experience in higher education. His professional journey combines institutional vision, academic leadership, and a commitment to governance, quality, and innovation. He currently serves as President of AlMaarefa University, a private institution specializing in medical, engineering, and computing sciences.

Dr. Alsughayir began his academic career as Chair of the Department of Business Administration, where he led curriculum enhancement and department development. He was later appointed Dean of Student Affairs, followed by his role as Advisor to the University President, and subsequently served as Vice President for Community Service and Information Technology, as well as Vice President for Business Development and Investment. Through these successive roles, he played a pivotal part in shaping strategic plans, leading digital transformation, expanding institutional investments, and developing sustainable community engagement frameworks.

His research interests include quality management, institutional excellence, and benchmarking, with a focus on localizing global models to fit regional contexts. He holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration and has published scholarly work in both Arabic and English. He is also a regular speaker at academic conferences and policy forums across the region and beyond.

Under his leadership, AlMaarefa University has achieved measurable progress in international rankings, built strategic partnerships, and strengthened its institutional identity.
