A staunch advocate for quality education, Prof. Abhilasha Singh is a distinguished academic leader known for her unwavering commitment to academic excellence and student success. She currently serves as Dean and Professor of Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior at the College of Business Administration. Previously, she held the positions of Vice President for Academic Affairs for five years and Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs for three years at the American University in the Emirates, Dubai, UAE.
Throughout her accomplished career, Dr. Singh has held several senior academic leadership roles across institutions, where she has provided strategic direction and ensured its effective implementation with resolve and vision. She has played a pivotal role in advancing educational quality and regulatory compliance, particularly in national and international accreditation processes. As a certified reviewer for the UAE Ministry of Education’s Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA), she has been instrumental in upholding rigorous academic standards.
Dr. Singh is a passionate and visionary educational leader, committed to fostering outcome-based learning, continuous improvement, and the development of scalable academic infrastructures that drive institutional excellence. She has successfully led strategic planning initiatives with a clear focus on student learning outcomes and sustainable academic growth.
Her contributions to education have earned her numerous accolades, including the 2025 Award for Outstanding Contribution to Education, the prestigious Hind Ratan Award (2024), the Most Influential Women Award by Filmfare Middle East (2023), the Women Leadership Congress Award (2023), and recognition among the Most Admired Global Indians (2021).
An active researcher, Dr. Singh has secured multiple research grants, including from the Dubai Future Foundation and the UAE’s National Research Foundation. She has published extensively in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals and is a frequent keynote speaker at national andinternational academic forums. She holds a Ph.D. in Applied Psychology from Banaras Hindu University, India, and executive certifications from the Indian Institute of Management –Calcutta (IIM-C) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA. She is also a certified practitioner of the Balanced Scorecard, Emotional Intelligence (EQ), SHRM, CIPD, and MBTI.
In addition to her academic and leadership roles, Dr. Singh serves as a senior editor for a leading Q1 Scopus-indexed journal and sits on the executive board of the International Higher Education Teaching and Learning Association (HETL), further demonstrating her deep commitment to advancing global higher education.
