Sahreen Chauhan is a Network of Quality, Teaching, and Learning Manager at Aga Khan University (AKU). She has worked in the Higher Education setup for over 16 years. In her global role at the university, she majorly oversees the
reward and recognition piece of the Network activities. She manages AKU’s Teaching Enhancement Accredited Certification of the Higher Education Academy (TEACH) Continuous Professional Development Scheme- the first and still the only institution accredited by Advance HE in Pakistan and East Africa, through which AKU awards HEA fellowships to its academic staff in Pakistan, East Africa and the UK. She also provides administrative support for the AKU’s Haile T. Debas Teachers’ Academy- the first interdisciplinary academy in the developing world. The academy is a place within the Network consisting of outstanding AKU teachers acknowledged for their excellence in teaching and leadership in higher education who serve as mentors to other faculty to enhance their teaching practices, maintaining academic excellence at the University. Sahreen regularly conducts professional development activities for faculty members at the University, including other partnered Higher Education Institutions.
