Dr. Susan Aldridge serves as President of Drexel University Online, a division of Drexel University, where her team is responsible for recruiting and serving online students in all 50 states and over 20 countries. Drexel University is a private top 100 university in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
A highly accomplished and widely recognized higher education leader and strategist, Dr. Aldridge has held executive leadership positions in some of the largest universities in the US. She spent six years as president of University of Maryland University College, the largest state university in the US, and, 10 years as vice chancellor for the Global Campus at Troy University in Alabama.
Before joining Drexel University, Dr. Aldridge also served as a senior fellow at the American Association of State Colleges and Universities where she was commissioned to write a book, Wired for Success. Dr. Aldridge created an open source website for innovations in online learning: www.virtuallyinspired.org.
She has received numerous awards in recognition of her achievements from such organizations as the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, U.S. Social Security Administration, U.S. Administration on Aging, U.S. Distance Learning Association and Women in Technology.
