Dr. Nabil EL KADHI is a disruptive expert in academia and innovation. He has almost 30 years of experience in academia and over 15 years in managing higher education institutions, with a focus on European and Middle East academic systems. EL KADHI has held various positions, from Project Manager to Lab Director, Dean, Provost, and Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs. His contributions to institutional excellence are significant, particularly in data and cloud security, smart cities, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence. EL KADHI is recognized as one of the 50 most impactful international leaders in smart cities and smart applications.
He is the Vice President of Future Cities Council Canada. He is also involved in various think tanks and associations, including the Smart Cities Council and the Tunisian Association of Future Foresight.
EL KADHI has played a key role in designing and revising curricula in France, Bahrain, Oman, Iraq, Tunisia, and the UAE. His expertise lies in institutional strategies, research, program development, and quality assurance in education. He has served as an external reviewer and consultant for accreditation authorities and universities in several countries. During his tenure as Vice Chancellor, EL KADHI led the institutions’ rebranding and internationalization efforts. Under his leadership, colleges/universities achieved significant improvements in its rankings and
established partnerships with reputable institutions in the UK and Europe.
As the Dean of the College of Computing Sciences and later as Provost at AMA International University – Bahrain, EL KADHI successfully led the accreditation of computer science and engineering curricula. He also secured European Council Business Education accreditation for the College of Business.
EL KADHI’s research expertise encompasses quality assurance in higher education, smart cities security, internet and information system security, and cloud security. He has published over 60 international articles and served as a reviewer for prestigious scientific journals and conferences. Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, EL KADHI has contributed to the establishment of consultancy companies.
