Dr. Mona Kamal Ismail has served as the Dean of the Scientific College of Design since 2013, where she has successfully spearheaded national and international institutional and program accreditation projects. She holds a Ph.D., an M.S., and a B.S. in Interior Design, as well as a Master of City and Regional Planning, all from The Ohio State University.
A recognized leader in academic excellence, Dr. Ismail received the “Education Leadership Award” from the Golden Globe International Organization in 2015. She is a dedicated expert in quality assurance, serving as an external reviewer for the Oman Authority for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Education (OAAAQA) since 2016 and for FIBAA since 2023. Additionally, she is an EFQM Internal Assessor and serves on the Board of Directors for
both the Egyptian Language School and Oman Association for Quality in Higher Education.
