Dr John Craig joined the Higher Education Academy in 2011 having previously served as an Assistant Dean at Teesside University. He has taught at the University of Huddersfield, the University of Leeds and the Open University and led a range of national teaching and learning initiatives. He is chair of the Political Studies Association (PSA) Teaching and Learning Group and a member of the American Political Science Association (APSA) and International Society for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (ISSOTL).
In 2009 he was awarded a National Teaching Fellowship and the C-SAP Recognition Award for Politics. John is editor of the International Political Education Database (IPED), an online bibliographic resource listing articles on teaching and learning in politics and international relations. He is a member of the editorial boards for a number of journals including Learning & Teaching and the Journal of Political Science Education. His research has appeared in journals including Higher Education Management and Policy, Journal of Further and Higher Education, Annals of Public & Co-operative Economics and European Political Science.
