Dr. Connie Mitchell, PFHEA

Dr. Connie Mitchell brings over 24 years of teaching experience and was honored with the Education First Teaching Excellence Award in 2020 in Saudi Arabia. As a Higher Education Academy Principal Fellow, she holds roles as a TESOL-CAEP and NCAAA accreditation reviewer. At Prince Sultan University, she serves as the Vice Dean of the College of Humanities and Sciences and leads the Teaching and Learning Center under the Deanship of Quality Assurance and Development.

Her teaching philosophy centers on lifelong learning, supporting both students and colleagues in their educational journeys. This belief shapes her approach to teaching and leadership at Prince Sultan University.

Dr. Mitchell specializes in Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language and Linguistics. She actively engages in her field through associations like TESOL International, TESOL Arabia, TESOL Greece, AAAL, and the American Evaluation Association. Her research focuses on professional development, quality assurance in higher education, TESOL/TEFL, and assessment.
