Rasha Bayoumi is Professor of Clinical and Health Psychology, Head of Research and Director of the Knowledge Exchange Hub at the University of Birmingham Dubai. She is also Co-Chair of the UAE Universities Climate Network (UCN).
Professor Bayoumi has an international academic and professional background spanning the UAE, UK, US, Canada, Oman and Sudan. She was a Takemi Fellow and subsequently Technical Advisor at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Earlier in her career, while at the World Health Organization, she worked on humanitarian response initiatives supporting displaced populations.
Her work sits at the intersection of research, policy, practice and external engagement, with a particular focus on building partnerships that translate academic expertise into meaningful societal impact. Alongside her academic research, she has played a leading role in developing university–government partnerships, strengthening research ecosystems, clinical training and knowledge exchange in the UAE and internationally.
