Joanne Doumit is the Director of the Career Center and Alumni Relations Office at Université la Sagesse, Beirut, Lebanon. She holds an Economics degree from Université Saint Joseph, Beirut, followed by a Master 1 degree from Paris-IX Dauphine and then a Master 2 degree from Paris X-Nanterre, France. Joanne initiated her career journey as a Private Banker at Saradar Bank Lebanon, where she managed clients’ investments and portfolios. Later, she transitioned to Higher Education and started teaching Microeconomics courses at Université La Sagesse, while supervising graduate theses.
After dedicating 16 years to ULS, Joanne was appointed by the President of Université La Sagesse to establish the Career Center Department in September 2022. The primary goal was to bridge the gap between the academic and professional journey of ULS students. The success achieved through her initiatives led to the integration of this department with the Alumni Relations Department, resulting in the creation of the Career Center and Alumni Relations Office. This hub is specifically designed for student empowerment and engagement, following a student-centered approach.
