Dr. Randall Rhodes holds a Ph.D., MA, and a BA in Art History from the University of Chicago. He joined the American University of Kurdistan as President in September 2020. Focus in the past years has been on institutional capacity building, readying the University for accreditation with the New England Commission for Higher Education, and promoting impactful programming for the people of Kurdistan. He is currently serving at the Chair of the National Task Force for K-19 Education in Kurdistan. Previously, he was Provost at the American University of Armenia, and faculty member and Associate Provost at Frostburg State University. He is originally from Rochester, New York.
